1. Manufacturer - Motorola
2. Model - Droid Mini
3. Software version - 4.4.4 KitKat
4. Phone is not rooted.

Specifics of the problems:

1. Whenever I download something from the internet, it automatically puts it in my DOWNLOAD folder. I use ES File Explorer. If I delete the file from ES and empty the recycle bin, the file is still listed in my original Downloads app and I have to delete it from there also even though I know it's gone because if I click on the file in the Downloads app is says the file cannot be found. Is there a way of avoiding all this jumping around to delete a file three times?

2. When downloading a file from the internet it automatically downloads and puts it in the Download app. I then have to open ES to move it to the correct folder and again, after doing so, I have to delete it from the Download app, even though it's not really in that folder anymore. I've done an exhaustive search for a SIMPLE download manager that will ask me, "save to," and allow me to name the file and choose the folder I desire as you would on a PC to no avail. Could someone recommend a SIMPLE download manager that will do this for me? It's mostly for pics and music.

Question 1 is a problematic query and question 2 is more of an advice query. Please help me if possible, because I've been searching for these answers for almost a month and I'm extremely frustrated. There has to be an answer to these 2 simple questions or I'm just missing something that is very simple. I'm beginning to hate Droid and starting to think app writers are very clueless.

Hi

It is a bit of a pain, but not as bad as that!

Download the file - yes they always go to the download folder.
Open ES and select the file (long press)
bottom right menu button "more ..."
select "move to" and pick the new location

Then in the Downloads app press "clear list" at the bottom

I guess this is what you were doing anyway!

Does this help http://www.tomsguide.com/faq/id-1772970/set-default-download-location-card.html

Also I have read that the Dolphin browser asks you for a download location

You got it girolez. That's exactly what I've been doing. I was hoping there was a download app that would let you choose the folder for the file that was either overlooking or didn't know about.

However, I really appreciate the answer and your time very much. I'm kind of new (1 year) at these smart phones and apps.
