My friend's galaxy S3 had a korean download/odin mode because it was a Korean version Of s3.
Are u sure ur galaxy s5 is SM-G900H?
There might be a small chance of it not being SM-G900H or it might be fake or a copy of SM-G900H.
Try installing CPU-Z or something to see if its really SM-G900H.

If you got a fake Samsung, it's likely what you think is Korean is actually Chinese.

OP if you could post a photo of it somewhere, I can tell you what it is. An easy way to tell a knock-off from a real Samsung is go into settings, device information and look at the kernel version. If it states "CST" and not "KST" in the build date and time, you got a counterfeit.

Be aware there are a lot of clone and fake Samsung devices around, especially from Ebay and online wholesale vendors. Where did you buy it?

The kernal version of my cell is 3.4.5 dpi@SWDD5708 #1 Wed sep 17 10:35:12 CST 2014.
and the build number is KOT49H.G900SKSU1AND3.
cause i don't think it's Fake maybe it's Korean but you tell me exact situation.

Ok "CST", that's a Chinese fake and is NOT a Samsung, it just looks like one. Which basically means anything that applies specifically to Samsung devices will not work here, such as using Odin for flashing or Samsung Kies. When Samsung builds their firmware, it's always set to show "KST" for Korea Standard Time, "CST" here meaning "China Standard Time"

Knock-off S5, S6, Note4 etc, can very from absolute garbage, that lies about internal storage and has a really crap camera, to something that's actually reasonable for a Chinese phone, they're very much an unknown quantity and pot luck.

I have to ask, would you know the difference between Korean and Chinese anyway? I do, I live in China. :thumbsupdroid:

You've gone into recovery to try and upgrade, but you're only seeing a foreign language and no English, well a real Samsung wouldn't do that. And you wouldn't be able to upgrade using Samsung version Lollipop anyway, because it's not a Samsung.

FYI here's a photo taken with a clone S5, and that's probably about the best this one will do.

That baseband version is definitely suspect, "g900sksu1ancd". And it looks like someone else has confirmed the same thing....

OK.
There I think they tried to flash a Samsung S5 version CWM recovery, and it's irreparably bricked, because it's not a Samsung S5.

BTW I believe CPU-Z is wrong here, that has been known before, and can be fixed to say anything, same with Antutu. More likely it's got Mediatek "MTK" processor. And if you plug it into a PC and it starts to use Mediatek drivers, then you'll know for sure.

I take it the device information has absolutely nothing about KNOX? Because a clone is not going to have that.

bro i will post some pics here check it out i take these pics some minutes ago from my S5.

The camera certainly looks and appears to be OK. But I still definitely believe it's a Chinese clone, albeit a high quality one, especially given all the other stuff about it. They do exist, and everything you've posted certainly bares that out for me. You got nothing about Samsung KNOX on it then? Because that in an embedded security feature that only Samsung devices have.

It will probably work for you, but remember it's not a Samsung, so anything specific to Samsung S5 will not apply here. As for any updates to Lollipop 5.x, probably not a chance in hell, the manufacturers of these illegal clones, usually want to stay very anonymous, naturally. DO NOT TRY flashing Samsung S5 firmware or recovery, because it just won't work at all or could irreparably brick.

I take it Pakistan can be as laissez-faire about intellectual property rights as what China is. :thumbsupdroid:

BTW @aftab91, what does the embedded EXIF information in your original "S5" JPG photos state? Would be interested to know if that states "Samsung Galaxy S5" or not. There's no EXIF in photos you attached earlier, but the forum probably strips it. If they're on a PC, right clicking on the photo should give you that information under properties.
