Help Searching inside phone only

I bought xiaomi Mi 4i. The desktop has a search button, but anything I type gets searched in the entire web. I just want to search inside my phone (specifically into the calendar). How to do that?

Try opening the Calendar app then tap on the hamburger button (3 Dots) choose search and type in your terms. Works on my HTC One M8 using the stock Calendar app.

Thanks but I am using the inbuilt calendar app of my phone... There's no search option in the calendar... this is android lollipop v5

Also apart from the calendar, how to search everywhere inside the phone?

As far as I can tell the Mi 4i is an Iphone. Not much help for Iphones on Android Forums. Is it the Mi 4 maybe? No I after the 4.

Nope Mi 4i is not an iPhone, it is an android phone from Xiaomi

@dontpanicbobby Xiaomi Mi4 is a Chinese phone, has a heavily customized version of Android called MIUI. @Akshat Khare you're just using a calendar on the phone itself and not Google calendar and isn't synced with Google? What's the desktop search function is that Google? I've not looked at MIUI much recently.

It's a calendar app that has search included, and can search for your events even if you're just using calendar on the device itself.
