Help Calendar Issue

Newbie
Hi

You can see that I am totally new to Android by the "basic" questions I ask! This time I have an issue with Calendar. I have two Google calendars set up on the web but only one appears on my Sony Xperia M2 phone running KitKat. Any ideas how to get both my calendars on the phone?

Thanks

Patrick

Hi

I do not have accounts in my settings. All I have is the following.

Notifications
Select ringtone
Vibrate
Popup notification
Default reminder time
Quick responses
National holidays
Weekend
Days in week view
Week starts on
Show week numbers
Use home time zone
Home time zone
Weather forecast
Birthdays
Hide declined events
Delete all events

In the top-left menu where I cann choose week view, month view and so on, only one of my two calendars is showing.

Regards

Patrick

You apparently selected General settings. There should be an entry with something@gmail.com. You need to select it.

Hi

Looks like one of us is missing something so here is to clarify

Attached are screenshots of my Calendar app.

00.png shows the screen as I open the app
01.png shows the left menu with only one calendar from Google
02.png shows the menu when Settings is
03.png shows the screen that appears when I tap settings

There is no entry with my gmail e-mail address!

Regards

Patrick

When I tap on the name, it ticks / unticks it and that's it! Could it be a Calendar setting on the web? I might just have to live with one calendar but that would not be very convenient.

Calendar view settings is a heading. Under that I have the following.

National holidays
Weekend
Days in week view
Week starts on
Show week numbers
Use home time zone
Home time zone
Weather forecast
Birthdays
Hide declined events
Delete all events

Yes, this is the calendar app that came with the phone. I tried Google Calendar from the play store and still couldn't see my second calendar. That why I thought the issue was not something in the app itself.

This is puzzling to me.
Tell ya what, I was going to move this thread into your device forum, but it looks kinda dead.
I was thinking about moving it to the Android Questions forum for now, and then when it gets answered, move it to your device forum to populate it a little more...
Also, moving it to AQ may get more input....whatcha think?

My main calendar (the one I see on my phone) was created when I setup my Google account. I then added a calendar using the web interface. This calendar appears fine on the web but not on my phone.

The calendar app that comes with a device is different from device to device.

On mine ... for you ... I created a calendar on the website ... went to my phone and selected it for display. Entries in it are then shows it integrated on the display with a different color.

I don;t know how to do that with your app.

Two of the three icons you have on your display that show the month are not present on mine. Have you tried the three marks to the left of the calendar icon? Have you tried the + sign?

Sure.
Whatever you think best "Mr Moderator"! :)

Catapulted the thread over into AQ to get more input. ;)

Just to get the obvious out first, go to the phone settings, then account, then your Gmail account, then untick the sync calendar option, and then tick it again. There should be a refresh cycle thingy that starts. Wait for it to finish syncing, then let's see if your other calendar appears.
