Hey everyone, my name is Dana. My 2 yr old son was given a Orbo Nabi tablet which has the Android OS on it. I joined the forum in case he ever has any problems (which he has now) as I'm an iPhone guy and I'm not too familiar with android.

The problem that I'm having is when it boots, it gets "stuck" at the Android screen. I've looked, tried the recommended reseat options with zero effect. Hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction as at this point, I'm at a loss.....

Try pulling the battery out for a few minutes and then put it back in and reboot. Was anything done to the system or did it just happen all of a sudden?

The battery is inaccessible....and it was all of a sudden. Worked ok last night, turned it off, then plugged it in to charge, woke up this morning to it being back on and stuck on that screen.

Hmm, being that I am not familiar with that particular device the only other option I can suggest is to try rebooting it by turning it off then when you turn it back on keep the power button depressed until a boot menu pops up . There may be a certain button combination needed to boot into recovery for that specific device so if holding the power button doesn't bring it up you may have to Google how to do it. If you get in the recovery you can try wiping the cache and then reboot system. It may give an option to factory reset, wipe data also which should revert the device to its original state . *If you do a factory reset you will Lose your data and will have to set up your apps, wifi password, etc again.

You said you tried the volume up + power to reset - did you get to the reset option?

Have you tried holding the power button for up to half a minute?

Lol , We must have been replying at the same time. As soon as I posted my response I saw you already suggested this .

I've tried the volume up and power option, and I've been holding my power button for about two minutes now..... Both methods are what Google suggested an no luck. Is there a way to troubleshoot this if I plug it into s computer?

Not in its present state unfortunately.

All that's left is to let the battery run down, leave it that way for an hour, charge it for a while and try to power back on. Don't try to power on without charging for a bit, the battery will be in deep depletion.

I'd even try to restart with the factory data reset myself.

Is there any way you can get the casing opened up to disconnect the battery? At this point it can't hurt to try . You can usually find instructions on Google how to disassemble pretty much anything. How old is the device?
