Help Me: Remote Desktop with Windows 7 x64

I have a Windows 7 x64 home premium computer and an Android HTC Magic running CyanogenMod (ver 1.6).

I am looking for an easy to use remote desktop application.

Requirements:

- Does not have to be "fancy", i.e. I only want to control my computer from my phone with my mouse.

- Needs to be FREE

- Easy configuration. Up until now, whatever program I have tried seems to be blocked by something (most likely my Windows Firewall) and I have been unable to make it work.

- Step by step guide please, I'm a noob to this and I need help!

Thanks

I've tried phoneMyPC before. It is NOT free, but it is really easy to set up and really easy to use. I highly recommend it. (You could just try it and if you think its not worth your money you could get a refund)

Actually the main reason I want a free one is because I am in Singapore and there are NO paid apps available :(

Windows 7 Home Premium definitely has no Remote Desktop. You have to use either Professional or Ultimate. Sorry to have to tell you that but it's true.

You could try some variant of VNC; it's an open source alternative to Remote Desktop. It doesn't work quite as well as Microsoft's solution, but it may be good enough for your purposes. You install a server component on your Windows box, and an optional client on your Android phone; it also supports a web interface, so you can use your favorite browser.
