Mandatory Must-Haves on next METRO phone

Features which will trigger an upgrade purchase immediately, and conversely IF missing will mean NO purchase.

At this juncture in time some new developments are here-revolutionarily significant enough that sticking to budget phone purchases will mean missing out on a lot / spending more on a phone is not extravagant.

Mine are:

EDIT:
12. Screen: 6" wishful / 5.5 minimum.
I am just able to read entire work pdf's in landscape mode w/o needing to scroll sideways.
13. Camera- not sure what # to state.
Although, if phone has all these other goodies, cameras should be very decent, 1080,64fps, etc.
(Galaxy Light cam really, really sucked)
14. Dual SIM...ultimate wishful/ain't happening.

1. NFC
2. Full USB-C
speeds double current USB 3/ reversible connector/otg cable & support presumably included. I'll be getting the new USB flash drives, and will also upgrade laptop and tablet to one with such a connector.
3. Two SD slots- wishful thinking, but will NOT buy a phone without ONE, no matter storage size.
4. RAM: 3gb @ 32 bit / 4 @ 64 bit.
I'm already stressing out 2gb at 32 bits.
5. 128/64gb storage.
6. Wireless charging support.
7. Radio
I don't know why this isn't default enabled.
8. IR
This may be better to buy the hardware add-on, the included software is pretty mediocre.
9. Band 12
10. Samsung PAY
With this you can pay with phone at cashier terminals that don't have NFC...touch terminal with phone and info gets relayed magnetically.
11. WATCH phone
Really, really, really ready for this.

EDIT... nor resolution...too good would make things too small.

Notice I didn't mention 64 bit or Android M...I see those as liabilities initially(xposed + app support/initial bugs/more ram and storage needed).

I have 64 bit on my Nexus 9 tablet...it's OK I guess. Don't really notice any improved performance over my Nexus 6.
So many say how Android, differently from Windows, doesn't need as much RAM for 64 bit.
I still think you need more than 3/4 to see a noticeable difference...and more space for the added bloat to support all versions.
And apps need to be recompiled...

I really, really hope the Windows experience is not repeated...for many things Office 32 is faster than 64 bit.

1. 5.0 or higher, def!
2. SD slot
3. removable battery
4. AT LEAST 2gb RAM
5. 16+ gb ROM (32+ w/out SD)
6. A processor that is better than 1.2gHz
7. 8MP or higher camera

I typically don't buy phones when they first come out (Lol I bought an S4 2 years after release) but a good and solid dev community is a huge must have for me.

Oops, forgot the screen size, thanks.
I'll edit post.
NOW I want 5.5/6, I can just fit and read 8.5 x 11 pdf docs I work with, w/o having to scroll side to side.

Res not too important, in fact- if it's too good, it'll be to small to read.

3. Removable battery...hhhmmm...
I think I'd rather use the spare battery money on a power mat and or stick...

I, personally, don't see the need for a removable battery. I've been rockin' a 1st gen Moto G (16 gig ROM/1 gig RAM) for a year and two months now and haven't found a time yet when I needed to remove the battery. I do need to charge up during the day sometimes (currently sitting at about 20% and getting ready to plug in and its only 6pm, took it off charger at 7:30 this morning). I guess it all depends on the phone though.

Yep, this phone conserves well, ditto Samsungs with upsm especially.

I do wish the external sd slot trend was reversed.

How's your phone storage free space doing after all this time?
Can you pretty much disregard that worry, or do you need to stay on top of that?

Generally, I have around 7 to 8 gig filled. The only time it gets close to 10 (I have 11.something available to use out of the 16 gig) is when I forget to move a TWRP backup off the phone. Those are generally 2 to 3 gig. The 3rd gen with SD card will be nice though, especially for those backups. ;)

I forgot I wasn't in the lg Stylo thread, lol.
And I wish SD slots were NOT internal.

I just saw the announcement of the upcoming 3 motos:

Yah, they confused me too...why post if not headed to tmo...

I like Moto too...Metro has got to release, so I don't lose the grandfathered promo plan.
