I have Holo Launcher HD & DTTW & DTSO works just fine.
Should be OK w/Nova..............
 
I double tap on my home screen in an empty space, and it does nothing. Sadly I'm also noticing it's dropping my Internet speed. I was at about 5.5 mbps dropped to 0.27. This is weird.

i use apex launcher and i can only double tap the screen on the lock screen to wake and sleep. if im on the home screen i have to resort to double tapping the top right corner of the notification bar...well, that was until xposed started working and now i have a nav bar key programmed to turn the screen off (using gravitybox) which is nice

edit as far as your internet speed dropping im not sure ive never had a problem there
 
^i think i saw you suggest that before and i forgot to try it out...if he doesnt mind apex instead of nova, gestures are free in the free version of apex


@GameTheory had a question for you...do you think there might be a really simple way to get rid of the "MetroPCS" on the lock screen? i have tried editing several lines in the buildprop but it still wont go away...do i need to wipe cache/dalvik after making those buildprop changes maybe? or is that damned branding just woven so deep into the ui that its not that simple to get rid of it?

whats your point? wasnt the zmax out longer than the stylo? we might only have cm 12.1 but i do believe we have at least one other dev working on another custom rom
 
my mistake metro pcs version has 2 gigs, boost has 1 cricket has 1.5 as for the rom thing if people wanted to jump right in more custom roms right now for the zmax as of right now
 
I have the zmax and stylo both for metro pcs. I definitely would not get a zmax over a metro/t-mo stylo, not even for roms. Zmax looks and feels cheap with big clunky bezels and has older hardware with an awful tft display.

To the zmaxs' credit it has decent dolby sound and good battery life. You might get an extra couple hours of battery over the stylo.

With that said if it's between a "boost mobile" stylo and a zmax, then I would get the zmax.
 
Recently purchased this phone, tmo version, and I love it. Kind of annoyed at minimum frequency is set at 800 and no app can change it since you need to disable core control prior to setting it.
Display is nice and while I use stock, I find myself using the cm build for games.

I've noticed songs are kind of low, to me at least. I have bass booster pro, and it only slightly helps.

Are these local music files stored on your phone or are they streamed from an internet music service?

I use bass booster pro also, but only for google play music. For local files stored on the phone I use Poweramp since it has a preamp that lets me raise sound level.

Bass booster pro doesn't have a preamp so it's only good for google play music since they have good quality streams. While poweramp is great for local files that might not be of best quality. A good pair of headphones also helps.

Bass booster pro I see only works for Spotify (for me) , Pandora it doesn't work at all. Local music I haven't tried I'll give poweramp a try, I usually use gonemad music player. That's just my usage problem now is Pandora hmm. Anyway, thanks for the advice, I appreciate your help.

I had to manually add audiofx from cm5.1.1 to get it to actually make a difference when playing all media. I tried to use viper4android but I couldnt get the driver to stick.
