Help Bluetooth visibility

Anyone else have the their visslability stuck to always on and anyone have any idea on how to fix it??? Only thing I can think of is maybe the ue boom app but I can not find were to change it. This is a big problem I use tons of Bluetooth stuff.

If I'm not mistaken,it's only visible when you're in the Bluetooth app.
There's a scan/stop option in the upper R/H corner.
Once you've exited the B/T app settings you'll be OK,still visible to only those devices you're paired to & not constantly scanning,or visible to unwanted devices.
Just make sure you turn off scanning in the upper R/H corner before exiting the settings.

Ok thank you lol had no idea that was a thing. I am so used to the old way I transfer contacts and stuff all the time at work and had never seen it before. Its a huge security issue if you could not shut it off. But works for me have to test it with my note 3 later.

So i tested it and it is discoverable no matter what my tablet finds it while i type this even though i stop the scan and all that anyone else have any ideas?

Is your tablet paired to the phone when it finds it,or,did you unpair & the tablet found your phone anyway?

I can see other devices in public, but,AFAIK,a pairing request & connection has to be OK'd on both devices before anything can happen.

Hopefully, just by your device being visible/discoverable doesn't actually make it vulnerable to unwanted snooping/pairing/connections.

Hopefully others will chime-in,I'd like to get the latest on this topic as well.

plan to contact samsung support and inquire about this as i am sure there are people outhere that can use it to abuse a phone if they can take over a car with it. May not be everyone but its a issue that is easily fixed. I will just keep shutting bluetooth off when i am not useing it.

I was just pairing with a company car bluetooth and in order for the car to find my phone I had to do start a scan. Not sure if that helps or not. My bluetooth is on 24/7 with my fitbit...
