Root Stock Rom - Xperia Mod

Curtis1973

Android Expert
This Rom is based off of SuperR's stock deodexed Rom with modifications made by me.

List of changes :

Xperia Home

Walkman with Clear Audio and Equalizer

Walkman Widget

Xperia Weather Widget

Trackid With Widget

LG Notes

LG Gallery - Thanks modhatter

LG Calculator - Thanks modhatter

Xperia Live Wallpaper

Sense Themed Icons For Apps

Minimal Gapps Included

Modified Hosts File For Adblocking

Move Apps to sdcard (SuperR's Mod)

Screen dpi set to 200 For a more spacious screen

Xperia Album and Photo Editor

(See below. Install as regular Apps and delete stock Gallery if you wish. Can still set lockscreen wallpaper from Album by selecting wallpaper then menu > Use As > Lockscreen Wallpaper..)

To Install:

Reboot To twrp, wipe everything except external storage, reboot twrp, you will be notified su or superuser is not installed..swipe to install. Upon reboot of twrp install Rom and you are good to go. This method avoids binary script error messages...

When Rom is fully booted, enter system then system updates. From here update your prl and profile. Then your data will be active again.

This is pretty much stage 1 of this rom meaning as time permits I will make additional changes such as app theming or replacement and and or remove features.

Xperia Album and Photo Editor. Install as regular Apps.
Just wanted to let you know that I installed this rom successfully and it works great! I really like the fact you included minimal gapps and changed the dpi. Took a while to figure out the flashing issue, but I finally succeeded. Thanks for making this!

Thank you. Yeah flashing the rom requires first wiping everything,THEN a reboot of recovery it self. Being sure to allow recovery to install the superuser stuff. Upon reboot you can flash the rom without binary script errors.

Heres a few extra apps.

Xperia Video Player - Install as regular app. Can delete lg video apps from system if you wish.

Cosmic Flow Live Wallpaper - Install as regular app. Apply via long press home screen then select live wallpapers, cosmic flow. Click edit in cosmic flow to pick your color and apply.

Xperia Calendar with Weather (must be set in Calendar settings. Use only actual city, state names otherwise using zip code may not show the weather in calendar. Also this app must be moved to system and then LGCalendarProvuder.apk renamed to CalendarProvider.apk. Calendar is not fully tested for full google sync functionality.

Since this is based on SuperR rom, what side effects would dirty flashing have? (Just out of curiosity) I have dirty flashed ROMs for different devices before, but not stock.

A ?
What changes did you have to do in order to get Xperia home to work...or does it just get set to system app?

Sorry for noob question. Just trying to better understand piecing a ROM together. (You know what your doing.)

________
NVM, answered my own question. (Its just another app). Plus I looked it up, lol.

Xperia home is a port for cm11 4.4.x roms which so happens to work fine for our stock rom, just a matter of incorperating the proper system files like permissions, libs, etc. As for dirty flashing,I honestly cant tell you how it would effect your current setup. I dont recommend it. As for asking anything, dont feel like you are bothering me or being a noob. I never have approved of how preteen forum school boys call people trying to learn noobs...so you wont get that from me.

i have made a walkman img in blender that i used as a lock screen. the new folder . zip has the blend file in it so if you have blender 2.75 you can render it with a different back light color

Looks good. I have some new things coming in another release. I may add replacement wallpapers for LockScreen and Home also. Would you mind if I edit this in various colors and add it in? As for new changes Im attempting to add apm menu and themed notifications changes plus a few icon packs for the status bar. Time is scarce so getting much done is slow going. But hope to upload a decent update by October 1st.

you can do whatever you want with that pic and blend file. i think it would be cool to see it in the new release.

Stuff being worked on. As of now fully themed quick settings icons finished today. Been attempting to decompile various apks to add advanced power menu, resize the navbar and a few other things but am running in to decompile errors involving framework sources. Will go through all in the rom and see if I can get the right decompile but not sure yet...for now heres a screen or two of the colored quick settings icons.

My goal although far off is to become independent of any third party app to provide a nice ui or provide certain system functions. Some will most likely still need tweaksbox for a few things. But hopefully can reduce if not eliminate its need.

I always love to see more Sony on my Android. Definite big thumbs up from me. Flashing now.

EDIT: Absolutely beautiful. Would have loved this rom about a year ago or so when I bought this thing haha. Might have made me hold off on buying the Xperia Z3 last week. Oh well. :P

I was able to fix it was missing GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk.

Did you flash that back in, or copy/paste? What was the source you pulled from? I tried to grab one off zippyshare, and now my phone locks up after lg logo, before lightning bolt... Guess I'll have to re-install the rom and all agian... I have to have my contacts though lol!
