Stock messaging

Does anybody use the stock messaging and get a icon pop up... looks like a roulette wheel.. and if you click on it there is an add that pops up?
 
I don't use the stock messaging app,but,I'm curious:
Is the ad the same each time,or,from the same company,etc...?
 
I looked like a roulette wheel and it was blue and orange! It stays on the right side and you only see half of it until you click it
 
If I happen to see something like this,I'll take a screenshot & try to find out exactly what it is.
Guessing others may have seen this as well,perhaps they'll see this & chime-in...............

Haven't seen that before.Or,any sort of pop-up at all,ever,in any messaging app I've used.
Might wanna consider switching to Textra.......................
 
I just switched... my husband and I got our Notes the same time and he hasn't seen it either!! Just lucky me I guess... lol

I would look at some apps that you installed. Maybe the Messaging app is triggering it.

OR.... This is something that I just thought as I was typing. I noticed you have a theme installed. What if the developer who made that theme, made it possible for ads to popup when in certain apps that get themed by the...... theme????

You know... I never thought of that! It could be! I paid 1.99 for it but that is very possible!!

This is very likely,I'd bet the price of the theme on it.....:thumbsupdroid:
Just a guess,but,expect more of the same garbage to magically appear,or,just more targeted ads in your browser/etc... if you begin to use Samsung Pay.
Your shopping habits will likely become the knowledge of Cheetah Mobile,the company that Samsung announced their unholy alliance with @ MWC 2015.
Samsung is likely selling your "anonymous" spending habit data to Cheetah Mobile.
They didn't partner up w/them to benefit you or I.
