On my S5 all my Facebook contacts originally showed up in my contacts when I set up the phone and I had to go into the contacts settings to un-check the box associated with an old yahoo mail email address that is the address associated with my Facebook account. Unfortunately I can't do that on my new Note 5 because that email address isn't even configured on the phone. On my first N5, which I had to return, all my Facebook contacts were now associated with my primary personal email address which is a GMail account. I never approved my Facebook contacts to be associated with my GMail account! A Verizon store associate said I either needed to log into Facebook and disassociate my contacts with GMail or manually delete each Facebook friend off my new phone, one by one, which would take hours. How this came to be, I do not know but I need to figure it out before I configure my new N5 I would like to do asap! I was told that I would need to go into the settings of either my Facebook or GMail accounts to disassociate my Facebook friends with my Gmail account but I've attempted that with both to no avail.
Can those of you who read this who have both a Note 5 as well as a Facebook account you access on your phone please tell me how you configured your phone so all your Facebook contacts are not in your N5s contacts?
Can you also tell me if you've experienced any other issues setting up your new N5 so I can try to avoid them? I would really like to avoid another bad experience with my replacement N5 like I did with my first one!
Thank You!!
Mark
