Why doesn't Google offer a payment program?

I'm kinda disappointed they didn't offer one considering it wasn't going to be available via the carriers. Hell, its not as if Google doesn't have the resources to put something like that in motion.

Yeah I had an instant invite. I didn't finish it quite yet though.
 
I saw where you can also order the 6P from the US Huawei web store -- they offer payment plans depending on your credit rating, but they charge you interest and you don't get the $50 google play credit.
 
I'm really disappointed with the decision to not offer these phones through carriers. Personally I think it's another in a strong of horrible strategies by Google, first the insane high price tag on the N6 last year and now only one avenue for purchase this year. Not the best for your customers Google.

Fi's financing is zero % interest, you get the $50 credit and a coupon code for 50% off a case at the Google Play store when the phone ships.
 
The initial cost of the phone is a big hurdle for some people like myself. I need a new phone desperately and I can't afford $600 up-front. I'm looking into the X-Pure and the Note 5 now. I want the 6P... but hey, that's life.
 
Best alternative is if you get the phone from Bestbuy ( looks like online only now) get a store credit card and get 18months no interest that is what I did anyway
 
is that offer still available? I'm fed up with my Moto X (2014) and I'm jumping ship from Motorola.. Still under contract with AT&T until 11/16 will this be an issue for me?

* Edit * its 12 mo/no interest.. eh 18mo sounds better.. haha ill wait around for another promotion or price drop i suppose.

I can understand your issue.
I think Huawei offers a financing plan. Nexus Protect isn't available, but you could go through Square Trade.

Otherwise the Pure is the next best phone.
I wouldn't get the 5X. The Pure has expandable storage. But no fingerprint sensor.

The whole point is to offer a phone without the crapware injected into carrier handsets. You get a clean OS that is updated monthly, instead of waiting 6 or 12 months for a carrier bloatware update.
