Use Amazon Underground apps offline?

BLKRZR

Newbie
Sorry if this has been covered before but I couldn't find anything specific on it. I had the Amazon App Store on my previous phone and could use the apps I downloaded w/o being signed into the app store. On my new phone (Moto X Pure), I downloaded the new Amazon Underground app along with all of the apps I had before and now it looks like I can't use any of them without actually being signed into Amazon Underground. When I sign out it asks if I'm sure I want to sign out of the app AND the apps on my device. Of course the old app never asked this. Anyone know if there's a workaround for this? I shouldn't have to stay signed in just to use an app...

Give it a bit longer. Maybe no one else who's read this is using Amazon, they're all using Play? Could try asking Amazon, see what they have to say. I don't use it myself, because amazon.cn doesn't do apps.

Thanks for the encouraging words!

From Amazon:

If you read it, it does say you won't be able to access cloud based apps. If those are the apps you have, that's the answer.

I still have the original Amazon app, but my downloads were paid for and installed on phone. They run in airplane mode. No wifi, no data and I can use them where I please.

Thanks. Didn't know that. That would explain it then. On my previous phone I was able to do the same as you. But that was with the old app store app and not the new one that replaced it. Oh well. Wonder if I can pull the apk for the old app from my other phone. Hmmm...
