Help Potrait camera turn out landscape pic, helppp

Every picture I take in potrait, turns out to be landscape picture.
Why is it so?
I've tried clearing camera cache, I've tried going safe mode, I've tried removing battery for 5 minutes, still same.

Hi,

I have seen this happening too, but it is not all the time (say 1 shot in 20). I assume that the phone uses the accelerometer to try and determine if the phone is in portrait or landscape and stores the meta data in the photo respectively. So, I would suggest that the data coming from the accelerometer is wrong or is not being read correctly by the camera app.

This is just a guess though, so perhaps other people could suggest a better solution. My attempt would be to turn off (or on) screen rotation to see if that has any effect.

Worst case, you can always rotate the picture in the gallery, but I understand that this would be annoying.

Regards,
Eric.

Do your camera controls rotate as you rotate your phone? Is the shutter, Movie, Mode rotating is what I am asking when you rotate the phone?

If you download the pics to your PC and read the EXIF data of these portrait photos, you'll see that they are rotated 90 degrees. These phones are setup so that landscape is 0 degrees, so when you shoot a portrait shot, it will be rotated.

i think u don't understand what i mean.
When taking picture with the phone camera in a portrait position, it turns out landscape. If i take in landscape, it turns out portrait.

annoying case scenario is rotate in picture gallery all the time.
Yeah how to fix the accelerometer???

I did a little research today, but it seems that calibration tools/methods don't seem to exist for the Note 4. Perhaps some else has a hint in this direction.

Eric.

I only replied to what you wrote. You need to read the OP again. This is all you stated...

"Every picture I take in potrait, turns out to be landscape picture."
