Help Waving hand icon?

What does that waving hand icon indicate? I can't find it anywhere and it appeared one day, disappeared the next?

Yes, Samsung S5.

Just not sure why the icon appears for a day or two, then disappears. I haven't changed any settings.

It's usually when you've opened up compatible things, such as Internet (Samsung stock browser) and Gallery. This allows you to then wave your hand left, right, up or down to scroll the page.

There should be an option to switch it off under Settings. If memory serves me well, it should be under:

Settings > Motions and Gestures > Air Browser. Flick the "off" switch on the top right corner and it should leave you alone!

EDIT: Also, if the compatible apps are still running in the background, the icon may still appear on the notifications bar.

Thanks. I have it turned on & use it, but the icon doesn't seem to be there with any consistency, even when in gallery. Sometimes there even when I exit the gallery.

Just trying to figure out when it appears & when it goes away from the notification bar.

You're very welcome. I just wish I could pinpoint exactly when it comes up. I remember it being a bit temperamental for me too! I hardly used the feature, but nice to show off to mates! [emoji12]
