Help Phone Echos when I talk

Sometimes when I talk to people my phone will echo, I think its mostly with people who have land lines. I will say something and then I hear what I said a few seconds later. Is there anyway to stop this?

Are they listening to you through their speaker? It's possible you are hearing yourself through their speakers...

are you talking about noise reduction, suppress background noise during calls? I have a check mark there, do I need to uncheck it?

BTW, I was referring to the distant end listening to you through THEIR speaker phone, not you yours . Let us know if AMOCO's suggestion works.

Amoco suggestion did not work. I could blame this on my moms land line or her cordless phone but I can't. Yesterday I had to call our tax office and I heard myself in a two second delay, it's hard to talk on the phone when I keep hearing myself talk. Any other suggestions.

I was afraid I would have to do a factory reset. bleh

Had the problem with my Galaxy 4 with ATT. I called the provider and told them, and they resolved it for me.
