Android Update?

Currently using the S5 on T-Mobile and I'm on 5.0. I keep an update notification but I'm not sure if I should go through with it or not because I've heard a lot of complaints about the next step up versions of android. Also which version would I be updating to if I did the update?

Android 5.1.1 is the next update. This has met with a mixed reception from T-Mobile (USA) and Metro-PCS users. Be prepared for a Full Wipe+Factory Data Reset if you update. See post #2 of S5 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide for more information on how to prepare for this.
