It has to be Star Wars right? I love that music!

Anyone booked their ticket to see the new one yet?

Blade Runner was the first that came to my mind when I saw the thread title. There are many films where I don't notice the score, or where I could watch it perfectly well without the it, but mention Blade Runner and I have an instant gestalt impression of a city at night, rain, and Vangelis' music.

Hmmmm... I would maybe say ... The Matrix...

.. or maybe The Rocky Horror Picture Show?...

Is this meant to be about theme songs for movies only and not reviews haha?? xD

:D:D:D

Alrighty then!

BRING IT

2001 and "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly"

Since kid skated and we were always at the rink, most of the kids used what was popular from the movies. You got tired of it.

Every now and then some orchestra would do a cover of someone like Jethro Tull.
I think we used Locomotive Breath instrumentally at one time. Same with Cosmos. Everyone liked the cut "Alpha" - She used "Heaven and Hell"

Oh my there has been so much good music that's for sure. But for composing talent, and sheer quantity and quality of material I think John Williams stands above everyone else. Just think of all the good stuff he's done - Star Wars, Superman, Indiana Jones, Jaws, E.T, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter. There's probably more, but that's just off the top of my head.
The guy is a musical genius!

I actually now listen to a lot of film sound tracks on Spotify. For me it's a whole new genre of classical material.

Goldfinger.

John Barry's scores are so memorable and haunting. Think of The Persuaders!
