Help #31# usage with Contacts/Logs/Dialer

Hi.

Have just discovered the Galaxy Note 4 does not operate the same way as my old HTC Sensation.

I have some numbers stored in my contacts list with the #31# prefix to withhold my number when I call them. If I dial one by selecting that contact my number is successfully withheld. The call log does not display the #31# prefix though so if I then re-dial it, by selecting it from the call log, my number is not withheld. The Sensation stored the #31# prefix in the log so re-dialling from the log meant my number was withheld.

Does anyone know how I can get the log to store the #31# prefix to avoid me re-dialling and giving out my number? Some operators in the UK allow you to prefix the phone number with 141 instead of #31#... but not 3 Mobile who I am with.

Many thanks.

Stu

On numbers that I use a lot, I include the prefix info in the Contact's ph# line.

I have never tried to suppress my own ph# though.

And, over here, on Verizon, none of those special codes work...
there are a precious few that tell the Central Office things, ie:
#72 123-456-7890 tells the CO that I want all calls Forwarded to 123-456-7890
#73 by itself cancels Call Forwarding...

#86 dials up Voice Mail

those are the only ones that I have ever tried to use successfully on Verizon.

I have tried a lot of codes that I see mentioned on the forums, and Verizon phones attempt to dial them out, and report back Non-working or Invalid number.

That's not an answer to the question!
