Do I have to have this tablet on my bill or can I remove it from my bill and just use my WiFi at home? Rather than pay a $10 fee every month? Thanks for your help

If you own it and If you pay as you go,Yes I don't see why not.
But if you got it from Verizon and your on a contract,No I don't think you can.

Well I got it for free and the guy at Verizon said I could give it away as a gift.
Well it sounds like it was a gift to you from Verizon,So I don't see why you can't remove it.
But I would still give them a call if your on a contract.Just to verify you can remove it without breech of contract.
