So I dropped my galaxy note 4 in the bathtub yesterday. When I noticed it, I immediately took my case, screen protector, back, battery, and sd card out and threw it into a bag or rice. After reading things that told me what to do, I placed the phone, battery and sd card in front of a heater in low for half an hour, rotating every five minutes so it hit every angle, then put it back in the bag of ice for 24 hours. When I took it out, it turned on fine, I played with it for a minute or so to see if anything was wrong. The screen kept operating on its own, pressing apps so fast I couldn't do anything, and then it would restart, turn on, then after about 30 to 60 seconds, it would restart, and it would do that in a loop. I took the phone back apart, and threw it back in the bag if rice for another 6 hour. I just took it out and it started up fine, this time without the screen glitching out. But it still turns off and on in an endless loop. Everything I've read keeps telling me to put it in safe mode (though I don't know what that'll do if it got damaged by the water, which is probably the case), but it won't even go into safe mode. I tried four times to hold the power button and then the down volume key (as was directed by every forum or website) and it just turns on without going into safe mode, which results in me having to pull the battery out in order to keep it from constantly restarting. Is it too late for me to take it apart and look for any remaining water?
Does anyone know what I can do? I mean, if I need a new phone, then I need a new phone. But I can't get another one until Friday and I use it for school and to clock in to work.
