New Note 4 guy here!

Just came from the LG G3, which was a great phone, but the camera was not at all reliable. I began watching Craigslist and found this "gently used" 8 month old Note 4.

My thoughts. .....

Where the hell have I been? Under a rock? This phone ROCKS!

I thought about going Ann biting the bullet for the "5" but the lack of battery and memory access is a deal killer for me.

Oh, and the camera is sick!

Got the Nova launcher and all set up. Love this beast!

I also just got my Note 4 as I switched to Sprint because of their half off deals. I first got an LG G4 when we switched but other than the camera I was pretty underwhelmed. I had gotten my wife a Note4 when we switched so I sent the G4 back and got a Note4 instead. The Note4 was actually cheaper too.

I'm also using Nova Launcher, can't stand Touchwiz. I knew Touchwiz was going to have to bite the bullet immediately from my past Samsung ownership.

The one thing I miss is buttons on the back. Buttons on the back is pure genius ATMO.

Unlike most people I could care less about removable battery. If I have to replace I just take the case apart and replace it. Good tools for mobile disassembly are worth acquiring, ATMO.

I also went from the LG G3 to the Note 4. I'm with AT&T, and the phone works great.:p

I got my Note 4 almost a year ago but it was my first smartphone ever so I've nothing to compare it to! I installed Nova launcher too, having been persuaded by some knowledgeable people online that if I had to start with just one, that should be it, but I only did that last week. I'm with Verizon, the only company that even tries to serve my (very) rural area and they told me about the Note 4 when it was time for me to upgrade. I wanted the biggest one they had. Then I did what many beginners do: sought it out on youtube for reviews; after that nothing else would do. For a first Android ever, the Note 4 has been a delightful experience. It does everything but the dishes. I used to be mystified by how so many people can spend so much time just messing about with their phones: now I've joined them.

The battery is good! I was afraid it wouldn't be since there's so much running on this phone, though I've been careful about what apps I install and run on it. I too will learn how to replace the battery myself, because it's the kind of thing I should learn, just in case, but I'll also buy one of those charger stations with case and extra battery included that I've seen online. By the time I manage to learn how to get the best out of all this phone can do, Verizon will be offering me an upgrade, but this clearly isn't the kind of device that one trades in as one does an old flip phone. I am, by the way, wondering why Samsung doesn't intend to give Marshmallow to these models and why they're even putting out that update on other devices when Lollipop hasn't been out that long either.

You are on AT&T, when you take a 2nd call, and then want to hang up on that 2nd call and return to the 1st call, can you disconnect just that one caller?

On Verizon, if the 2nd caller does not hang up properly, I get a dial tone in my ear, and the only way to get rid of it is to hang up on the 1st caller and call him back.
