Temp Sensor

Does the Galaxy s5 have a room temp sensor. A sensor that will tell me the temp of the room that it is in? And is there an app for that? Not talking about the temp of the devise or the local weather.

Hi Omniderb, I moved your thread to the Galaxy 5 forum

According to the Galaxy S5 Specs it does not have a temperature sensor, but it does have a barometer to measure atmospheric pressure.

I could be wrong as I'm new to Samsung but I believe the S4 had a temp sensor. From what I understand they removed it in the S5.

The S4 does have an ambient temp sensor. It was fun to play with, and plenty accurate if you let it sit for a minute or so.

Not certain why they didn't put one in the S5, but I don't really miss it.

OK. Maybe I do. Just a little.

I can't speak for specs but Weather Bug can give you the actual room temp using the S5 and pretty much only the S5. So there must be some type of sensor. I've used it and it's very accurate.
