Large update this morning... phone got real hot!

Got a large G935VVRS2APF2 update that took 10 minutes to load a few minutes ago.
How many of you got it and what was it?
My phone got quite hot while it was updating. Almost too hot to handhold. Is that normal?

If you were using mobile data to download it, with brightness at max and in a place where signal is less than optimal, yeah it can get hot.

I was using Wi-Fi and it was maybe 3 feet from my fast Comcast router is. Every phone I've had the past 15 years has set the brightness to max.

So, what is in the G935VVRS2APF2 update? Guess I'll google it and find out.

In my experience, Samsung phone run really HOT. Maybe they all do, I don't have much experience with that many other brands.
So far it only runs hot when I'm getting large updates or software. My last three Samsung phone's never ran anywhere near that hot. Other than installing updates & software, it hardly gets warm.

My S4 would get so hot with the GPS on it would shut down. Sometimes it'd do that after a few hours of Internet browsing. My first S7E got so hot I worried about skin burns! It croaked and my new one is a little better, but still noticeably hot if the screen has been on for more than 20 minutes! My wife's first S7E would get hot after updates, but her new one doesn't seem so bad.

I'm not really a "power user" and don't ever runs cases (partially for heat reasons).
