Root Just throwing this out there: Cm13 for g2 mini sources

Ok if anyone is running this latest July 11 version could you install Skype from google play store and see if it opens or crashes then just uninstall it. Would take 2-3 mins. Sure would like to know and would save me a ton of effort and time. thanks
Installed and opens. Good luck!

New build. Changes are sync with CM source (latest android security updates come with that) and the phone no longer suffers from amnesia, it now correctly identifies itself.

I also found that putting the phone into airplane mode, even briefly, kills off the NFC battery drain.

Reminder: If an app has an issue I need a logcat. If the phone locks or reboots I need a /proc/last_kmsg. NFC is still wonky and needs people willing to toy with build.prop, libnfc-bcrm.conf, and libnfc-nxp.conf.
Alright so I have just downloaded and installed this update coming from the April build on the Volt forum and have to say it works much better! On the April build, cellular data would take forever to make the initial connection but on this update it connects really quickly.

I setup like normal by downloading all my apps: Google Maps, Backdrops(Wallpapers), Gmail, Instagram, iHeartRadio, Opera mini Beta, Nova Launcher, Google Rewards, Textra, Transit, Speedtest, and Signal Check. All apps so far work fine and it feels so far as stable as the Moto E 2nd gen cm13 nightly's. If there is worry about NFC working, for me I have not used NFC pretty much ever since I don't see a use for it at this time for my needs. Will report back if anything comes up.

I noticed in Settings > Memory > Apps Started at Boot > Bootup there is a CM Settings Storage that is started at boot. Is this where all my CM13 ROM settings are stored? If so where is this located in file manager cant seem to find it I want to back it up for when I have to do a re-install ?? thanks

I'd advise using Titanium Backup to handle that, but I wouldn't anticipate needing a wipe until CM14. Even then it might not be necessary, official CM docs said CM13 could be dirty flashed on top of CM12.1

Edit: I just tried saving system data but dont see where its stored or a filename ????

Hey @spock1104 so far your update has been running wonderful as my daily. I ran into a crash on my phone due to a game so I wasn't sure if to send you a logcat. I found several things not working: Rotation is still iffy, live display no longer works, compass still doesn't work, and finally dt2w not working only double tap to lock screen works. Backlights are working like a charm. Thank you for that, my phone looks so much better now.
Btw, I'd like to help in any way, I'm sure I've mentioned this before, sorry.

I just wanted to say thank you to those that worked on this.
It's brought new life (and enjoyment) back into my Volts.

If there is a way for me to buy you a beer/coffee just shoot me a PM :)

Thanks!

No OTG yet. @ShapeShifter499 was going to look into getting that.
Seems like he is MIA, I'm sure u can get that up and going... Wish I had the skill to do it :( anyway thanks agian... He got a patch for the stock ROM maybe u can start from there... Bad mofo used it for the cm 12.1 ROM last build, but that build is not working for me storage problem won't detect internal sd

Has anyone ever figured out, for this CM13 rom, how to make Titanium backup to the SD card if it was set up, not as internal storage but just as an external storage device? Sure would help with storage because TB backuops can be fairly big file size and this phone is limited in storage capacity.

If u have xposed installer on ur phone all u have to do is install xinternalSD module and it should fix the read write issue to ur external SD card!

Ok thanks. So which module will I need to d/l in order to gain access to the SD card for storage from any app ?
Go to the link josh gave u in the like there is another link to the XDA form there u can get the latest framework it's v86
Make sure to install the Xposed alpha apk
Once u get the latest framework form the XDA form u flash it in recovery or flashify that will get Xposed working
Then open the Xposed framwork under downloads go to the search bar and type in xinternalsd and download that one that's installed go to modules and check xinternalsd and reboot and it all set
U can also move game data obb file to SD card and Android will think it's on it internal saves alot of space!!!... Hope that helps, any other issue just reply and I do my best to try and help

Will that module also allow for the moving of apps and data to SD card ?

It will allow the data, never tried moving the app it self but once u enable what app u want the data to be on the SD card it device will think on the internal but it will be on it as card... All new data will be saved to the SD card automatically

Great. That will help. Any other modules you reccomend for this Volt? Gravity ? I think I will try that swipe back one.

Also is there any reason to flash the uninstall zip right now or is that for later if I decide to uninstall it. Read somewhere might need it installed for any bootloop problems?

No need for that u should be fine if u already installed the framework and didn't experience a bootloop if u flash that now Xposed won't work lol and if u flash a new ROM the framework won't be on the new ROM so u would have to flash the framework zip again... Uninstaller is useless at this point enjoy exposed
If u have problems with the YouTube HD in this ROM I would recommend ogmod YouTube it play all HD quality there an Xposed module for the auto sign in I will give u the link give me sec
