Removing Translucent Square Around Icons

Is there a way to remove the transparent squares around the icons and slightly increase the icon size?

What launcher are you using? You could probably sort it with a custom icon pack.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm not using any launcher, I got this new device and it came this way. Which one do you recommend?

Nova Prime Launcher doesn't leave any transparent squares around icons when using the Maerialistik icon pack. Work your way back through this thread for some icon pack suggestions
