Yeah too bad the email says it can take up to 12 weeks to receive the item chosen. Or at least mine does. I chose the Gear Fit 2 because I have no use for such a huge memory card on a phone.

I wonder if that's on the count of demand possibly being too high. I thought about doing the Gear Fit 2 as a possible gift (as I have the LG Urbane smartwatch already), but the MSRP of the Fit 2 vs the MSRP of the Micro SD got me into the SD instead. Also, in reading up on the Gear Fit 2, it's not a fully functioning smartwatch, it's in between a fitbit and a smartwatch. I figure I can use a Micro SD USB adapter and can use the micro SD as a regular thumb drive if needed. If Samsung offered the Gear S2 or the VR headset, I'd probably go that route.
 
I ordered my phone on the 17th, got my phone delivered on the 19th!

I got my email today , it was approved so waiting now [emoji6]

wow! thats super fast. They said it could take 6 weeks to process and then 12 weeks to arrive.
I finally got my phone turned on last night so I just ordered my watch. I have no use for such a big memory card. Ill take the free watch, and just buy something like a 64GB card.

Seems like the memory card is what most people went with though. I wonder if Ill get the watch super fast too!
 
I got the email also that I will be getting my 256gb card. No email about a tracking number yet though. My 128 gb is almost full - about 9 gb left on it, but it works better in my N7 than my N4, so right now no big deal. I am happy my N7 seems to read the 128gb card faster than the n4 did though.
 
I got a total of 3 emails- received, approved, shipped. The 3rd (shipped) included the tracking #.

I'm hoping the Gear Fit 2 comes fast. All anyone wants is the 256gb card. I dont know why. What in the world do people do to fill up such a card. Like I said before I've never even needed more than what was internal memory lol.
 
I pre-ordered my phone on the15th but received a notification on the 19th that I was back ordered till the23rd. Received it earlier then expected(yesterday the 22nd) First thing I did upon receiving it was fill out the promotion requirements for the sd card. My order or request is pending approval. Hoping it don't take to long as my biggest issue with being put on back order with the phone was worrying that I would not be able to get the sd card. That is what justified this expensive purchase for me lol
 
@mannyfresh I liked your post but consider this. I already have 40GBs of music and plan to convert my DVD collection to Android playable format. I've got over 100 of the later and the smallest size I can live with, watchable anyway, is 700MB per 2 hour movie. I like movies. I know I will buying more. Even a 128GB device couldn't handle all that.
 
I was excited until now. I chose the SD card, and I too received emails saying that it was approved, and that it has shipped.

Looking at FedEx tracking, it just says label created. Here are screenshots from this very minute:

It won't take that long. When I got the Edge and chose the Gear VR they were on back order I still got it within 4 weeks so don't get too discouraged just yet.
 
Seems like the FedEx tracking was slow this time. What I mean is I received my tracking number 2 days ago. Said label created until a few min ago when I checked it again and now it shows the activity and I will actually be receiving it today by the end of the day Thursday. Which is awesome. That's 1 week from when I put in for it.
 
I chose the Fit 2 as well, ordered a 64GB card for $17... I think that will suffice for extra storage for quite some time ;-)

Dang it, mine still says label created. I keep checking almost every 5 minutes. :confused:
 
Well I received my free gift an hour ago. Haven't played with it yet. I set it to charge. Took pictures tho. Haha.

I've never tried one of these type or gear fit/watches out. It'll be interesting to have one. And last picture shows it on my wrist. I chose large because man hands. And it fits fine around my wrist.

Ahh crud, just got an email update from FedEx that it's finally been picked up and my new expected delivery date is 08/31 by end of day.

Wonderful. The anticipation is killing me!! :mad:
 
So I just checked FedEx and I have a package coming from Brightpoint C/O in Indiana. Is that where these things are shipping from?
 
my sd card is coming from zionsville, IN, so... but damnit it updated and now I should expect it next week.
