Root ( Port ) Galaxy 1.6 on the Behold 2 Final

QUESTION-sorry this is unrelated, but does anyone know anything about 2.1 or 2.2 on the behold 2? do you know when we will be able to port 2.x onto the behold?

Wow, really? :eek: I haven't checked mine yet. It says "unsuccessful download"? Maybe I need to read this thread from the very beginning. Someone might have had a solution for this. This is outrageous, can't download? wow. Hey, maybe we can use the "Search This Thread" feature, this way we don't have to read all 35+ pages of it. I'm gonna do that RIGHT now!!

UPDATE:

I found it!

Do a FULL backup of your phone (I use SpriteBackup). Then turn your phone off. Boot in RECOVERY Mode (VOL Down + SND + END all at the same time). Wait about till it says "Recovery Mode" then wait 10 seconds then press "Menu". Wait for it to finish rebooting and Market should start working. I don't remember if you lose your apps, I don't since I have A2SD and my apps are ALL installed

try doing a reset of your phone. i just put r11 on my phone last night and have not had a problem with downloading anything from market, or anything online...

I have used R8 through R11. I have never rebooted the phone after charging and my battery life has always been great. I'm not sure if it only applies to the No-Twiz versions or if I'm just lucky or something.

You can test if your phone is sleeping properly - after it has been sleeping a while, only the End button should revive it. If you press Menu and the buttons light up, it's not sleeping.
 
has anyone noticed the phone getting really hot once in awhile? mine has done that here and there not sure why but i think after 3 reboots it hasn't done it again yet. i mean bothe the screen and back of phone got really hot i thought it was gonna explode this only happend after porting to r11
 
happened to me to .

if market says un successfull u have to go to settings>memory > factory reset>
then do it whatever and press wipe. . then wait 10 secs after u did that and press menu ! and whoallllaaaaa! it works now! TRY IT

End and the Cube Button wake up the display (as well as the lock). All others should do nothing.
 
im havin a lot of bugs with this r11. just saying its really great and all but maybe bh_man you can fix it a little or tweak some stuff.

also i keep getting "force close" almsot on everything i do . its crazy .
 
hey, my behold 2 wont sleep, do u know why? because when the screen goes black, i can hit any button for it to come bak. and also i know its not sleeping because my battery is depleting very quickly (doesnt even last a day). and i know the battery is supposed to last atleast a day if u dont use the phone alot soo.. any help?

well to know if it sleeps let it sit for 5 mins then press menu if it goes on then it ain't sleeping but if screen doesn't light up then it is sleeping but you have to wait 5 min and not have it on the charger to find out also if you used google maps i found it to keep running the gps in the background even though u have gps off if u reboot and then try the sleep test it should sleep.

p.s. getting 30 hours on 1 charge now hopefully training a little more to get BH_man's 50 hours :P
 
Also having serious stability issues with R11 that have worsened over time. Got to the point where I could not do anything at all , FCs constantly. Went back to R10 which is working well for me.

what is kernel update and do i need it yes or no and if its important ?

i dont know if i need it because i came from a bone stock behold 2 and flashed it using odin to r11 with just the r11 or the first link . do i need the kernel update ? or do i have it update since i went to r11 sraightup ? or is just kernel update for people to update to r11 quicly.

sorry im a noob and dont reall know what a kernel or kernel update is but some help would be highly apreciated/ and i will give a thnx to whoever answers me quickly .

ok since you probably skimmed thru that thread u will need to flash the op and kernel file to update kernel since what it does is fix a few bugs and speed up the phone much more. this is after u already flashed r11
