Help FILES IN FILE MANAGER

huntmarv

Newbie
Hi folks. My name is Marvin and I have an LG Optimus F3. In my file manager there is a folder "SMVVM". In this folder are 2 files, 1) vnotes_db_ex (40kb) and 2) vnotes_db_ex-journal (8.52kb). What are these files and what importance are they? One more question, Has anyone heard of 360 Antivirus Security? It has a junk file cleaner and was wondering if it is any goid or even safe to use. Ok I have yet one more question. Does anyone know of an app that will find hidden junk files and clean them without cleaning important system files from my phone as well? Any help is very appreciated and will be going to someone who knows how to utilize the info given. Thank you for reading.
Marvin

I think that folder and files have something to do with voicemails or visual voicemails that you've saved. Never had an LG though so can't be 100%. Yep, heard of that AV app, but to be honest you don't need AV for android if you careful about what you download and check the permissions. For cleaning up junk I've always used SD Maid - try free version and if it works for you you can go pro to unlock more features.

Thank you
Do not know what this file is for
However if you wish a free cleaner
I have found the best to be DU speed booster it lets you pick and choose what to clean in most cases and it has saved me alot of headaches they also have a battery saver if your battery runs down too fast, but I have not found need since if you keep up on it the other pretty much takes care of it also
Hope this helps
:)

Anyone using DU speed booster, automatically grants the company permission to take their personal information and share it with any of their partners... Personally I don't think this is a good idea at all. Especially when you look at the permissions that this app takes.

" your download, installation and use of products/service from DU Group and its affiliates, shall be deemed that you have expressly provided your consent to DU Group for disclosure of personal information to DU Group's partners and/or affiliates "Partners""

http://www.duapps.com/privacy-policy.html

I'm also slightly wary of any application that is suddenly promoted in a thread that hasn't had any updates in over a year.

You should read that again yourself it says it will not disclose any personal info even to it's partners and affiliates
As for being promoted anyone can promote a pg. Or app

Actually in a sneaky trick it says it doesn't unless you give it permission.... And then says that using the app IS that permission.

My Conments from the above still stand.

amazing that noone answered the original question. thread fail

Hey there

Welcome to Android forums .

Sorry to hear that Lol.

So here are your answers :

If you see a file which you are not able to classify what is is using file manager , then you should not touch it either if it on Sd card or internal memory.

It maybe a data file of some app , or even related to system app data , So dont touch them until you are sure about them , else it may cause problem if you delete or move them.

Above Mentioned by our VIP , yeah its a folder for saved voice mails.

Secondly : Yeah i know about 360 security but i wont recommend you use it . I have personally used it and it causes lot of battery drain and ads gonna annoy you , sometimes i felt its totally crap .

'Third : You can use an app named CC Cleaner or AMC security to Delete deep junk files from your system .

Hope you are satisfied , Thanks.
