Samsung Galaxy Rooting problem

Hello, I'm hoping someone has a generic fix they can recommend. I attempted to root my Tab A (6.0.1), downloaded the appropriate rooting software and ran it (Odin showed PASS in .05 seconds), my Tab A started to reboot as it was supposed to, but now the screen is stuck showing a "Samsung Galaxy Tab A" banner in the middle of the screen, at the bottom shows a "Powered by Android" banner, and at the top, it says "Recovery is not standard enforcing" (in red), and "Set Warranty Bit : recovery" (in yellow). Any thoughts on how to proceed or is it a goner? Thanks for any assistance, Bob

Using Odin to install TWRP then flashing SuperSu update zip in TWRP.

Thanks so much for the help! I've only ever rooted one Android previously, and that went smoothly. I'm technically proficient, but am not a deep techie, so I'm going to have to read up on the comments you just made. As for your question, what I have is the link I downloaded the zip file from:

I found the CFAuto root file at CFAuto root site and supposed to work on 6.0
What CFAuto root does is install a modified version of the stock recovery and the root package but it should boot back into the system.
You could try a cache wipe in recovery then see if it will reboot.
Hold the power button till it turns off. Then immediately press power + volume up + home to get into recovery.
Use the volume down button to scroll to Wipe Cache and press power to select it.
Then select reboot.

I went to the xda-developer site you recommended, tried their suggestion of holding the "Power-Home-Vol Down" then change to "Power-Home-Vol Up". No luck. I'll keep reading their link.
 
If you can't get it to boot into the system, you may have to flash the stock firmware and start over.

Two comments: First, to clarify my "No luck" comment above, what happens is that the screen just shows the came banners, with the "Recovery is not standard enforcing" (in red), and "Set Warranty Bit : recovery" (in yellow) at the top.

Second, I tried your suggestion pt press the Power button until the device turns off, but it does not tun off. I help it to a count of 90, it stays on.

I see your comment about flashing the stock firmware and starting over. I can do a google search on how to do that, before I do, can you point me in a good direction so I can avoid so-so sites?

Thank you again for your assistance. It's very helpful, and much appreciated, even if I now have a brick.

Best of luck and any questions I'll try to answer. Someone else might chime in with something else to try and if I think of anything else, I'll post back.
 
I ran across this posting online that stated if you press and simultaneously hold just the Power and Volume Down keys for 10 seconds that should force restart your Tab A.
Than hopefully you can do a Power - Volume Down - Home to boot up into Download Mode.
 
Thanks all for your comments. Still no luck. I tried pressing the Power, Home and volume buttons in all combinations, the screen blanks for a second and returns to the same screen mentioned above. I let the battery drain overnight, then plugged in, came back to same screen above. I'm about to open it up to disconnect the battery hoping that will wipe any power still in there. Hail Mary's at this point.

You're missing out few steps.
First, to exit the bootloop, follow these guide:

The method to force all Samsung Android out of bootloop is discussed there.

Now, to root your device:
To root your Samsung android device, especially; those with Android 5.0 and beyond, your safest method is to flash TWRP Recovery via ODIN and then, flash the specific SU Script for that device.
I hope this helps. I will prepare a flashable SU Script for your device and upload later today.

Thanks very much, some progress. The last step in the link above got me out of the frozen screen and to the downloading screen. As I mentioned above, I let the battery drain, so before I proceed I'm letting it charge up. I'll post status after that.
 
SUCCESS, the Galaxy appears to be back to normal. The battery is at 2% so I'm letting it charge. Apparently it doesn't charge when it is locked up like it was. So to recap what I did for anyone with a similar problem: I tried to root, something went wrong, the device was frozen. As per ArykTECH instruction link above, I pressed Power and Volume Down, then when the screen blanked, I pressed Power, Volume Down, and Home. This got the device to Download mode. Then, following ArykTECH instruction link again, alonG with help from http://www.cyanogenmods.org/forums/topic/install-twrp-recovery-samsung-android-using-odin/ (this is where I loaded the latest Odin and TWRP recovery software), I ran Odin, plugged in the Galaxy, it was recognized, associated the appropriate TWRP software to Odin, pressed start, and in less than a minute the Galaxy is back to normal.

MY THANKS TO ArykTECH, jFALLS63, AND ALL THAT LENDED INPUT. I THOUGHT THAT I HAD A BRICK, BUT YOUR ASSISTANCE SAVED THE DAY. MUCH APPRECIATED!!! BOB

Turns out I spoke too soon. It turns out the Galaxy is running normally, but I can't access any of my Google accounts (Gmail, Play Store, YouTube, etc). When I try to go to a service, it says "No Connection", yet my browsers and other online accounts work fine. I have one of my gmail accounts set up in the Samsung email app, when I go to server settings, all look OK, I hit "Done" and get a message "Unable to set up account. Security Error occurred. Server certificate not trusted". Any thoughts on how to proceed?

As far as the Google stuff, check the date in the tablet settings. Wrong date can have a affect.

From your previous post, you flashed TWRP Recovery.
Are you still stock or did you also flash a custom ROM?
 
Also check your Tab's Settings >> Accounts >> Google. Your gmail address should be listed there and if you open it all your different Google services should be showing a green check mark (well, at least the ones you want to sync).

On your computer, log into your Google Dashboard and in the 'Devices' section your Tab A should be listed.
