Steve from Ireland I would be extremely grateful if anybody give me advice I am trying to find firmware for coolead CQ9.

It basically just does not load showbox or cartoon hd. hoping can flash firmware to fix as bought as present

So, because two addons for KODI aren't working, you want to flash the entire device?

You're in Ireland right? I believe in Ireland the ISPs block and censor illegal pirate sources and streams that things like Showbox uses, and it's the same in the UK. Basically the ISPs there have been ordered by Hollywood to block copyright infringing sites and streams. And a firmware update will NOT fix that.

If it's a present, as long as it's not going to the UK or Ireland, it might work. Or can return it to Hong Kong, or wherever the thing came from for a refund.

You could invest in a speedy VPN and route all your internet traffic through that... but you didn't hear that from me, right!

Not using kodi I was talking about the apk files I dont find kodi great

I think the same still applies.
Corporate countries will block IP addresses that facilitate paid content.
