Go to Setting-More-Application manager
Find GoogleApp, and Uninstall updates.
Problem solved.

THANK YOU!!! i got the same msg & couldn't use my home button to close out pgs etc. It was driving me crazy & i looked/searched & everyone was saying factory reset etc & i so didn't want to do that. i found this pg followed the link on here & it brought me to you & you saved my sanity & $$$$$ bc I was thinking i had to get a new phone that I don't have the $$$ for! but anyways i went to google took it off & I tried my home button & the UI error didn't pop up! i was so relieved but then I was like now I don't have google & I use google daily. so went back hoping against hope that once i installed it again it would be fine...weeell NOPE once I installed it again the UI error came back :-/ so took google away & hoping they will fix it soon. but i just wanted to thank you & so happy I came across this pg & YOU!

YEP!

fixed me right up, thanks, that was driving me nuts. I dont use my tablet for anything except playing music... so I turned the wireless connection OFF so it doesnt download this stupid update again.
