Panoramic Photo Apps

I have a Huawei P9 phone and a Samsung Galaxy A 10.1 Tablet.

While I generally dislike iOS products, I was kinda jealous when my brother in law took a panoramic photo, just like that.

I have looked on the Play Store and at some reviews but the feedback is so variable that I have no idea what app is any good, I don't want to shoot and then stitch on the phone, tablet or PC. I just want to shoot in one.

Any suggestions please?

Regards

Paul

Welcome to An droid Forums.

I am confused ... please explain ... " I don't want to shoot and then stitch on the phone, tablet or PC. I just want to shoot in one."

You were thinking right Danny. I want it be a seamless all-in-one operation Thom. I can stitch photos in MICE if I want to (I do it all the time with my DSLR) but on my phone / tablet I want to have the composited image (if that's what it is) or the all-in-one shot available for immediate viewing without having to tap away at the screen.

Sorry, I should have made that clearer.

You mean panoramic photos like this? Which was taken using the stock camera app on my Oppo R9 Plus.

Weston-super-Mare Grand Pier.

Slowly pan the phone around to capture 180 degrees or more, as a seamless all-in-one operation. There's no manual photo stitching or anything like that. Presumably the Huawei phone or Samsung tablet stock camera apps don't do that?

What are you doing with the shutter button? Holding it down? On my phone that just takes 100 separate photos..

Paul, it's a specific mode for panorama shots in the stock Oppo camera app. It has rapid-fire shutter mode as well, which is holding down shutter when in normal shooting mode, like it takes 100 photos or something.

"Move phone steadily in the direction of the arrow" ...and that's what you do when the shutter is pressed, it keeps going until the end or until the shutter is pressed again to stop it.

Hi Mike

OK, Oppo is not my stock camera app. I found and downloaded Open Camera in response to a search for panorama camera apps, but having opened it there's no panorama option. A search for Oppo app returned the same result.

Is that the map you meant? Looks like I might need to try a few. Can't believe my camera doesn't support panoramic use. Let's see what transpires.

OK. Found an app that works - HD Camera for Android. I have no idea which of the dozens is best so I just picked the highest ranked.

Thanks folks
