I wanted to post about the application we have developed called Notification Diary in order to get more feedback on its performance. To our knowledge its the first application that attempts to completely manage notifications and reduce the amount of both 'spam' and notifications that are unwanted or unimportant in specific situations.
Currently the application requires a short period of time to get running (for you to train it briefly to make sure it does not offer completely absurd predictions). We are planning on providing access to pre-trained model from the start once we have adequate amount of data collected.
As we need real world data to understand how well it performs, please consider installing and using it for a while. Any feedback is appreciated on the functionality and especially the performance of the predictions (notifications that were hidden and shown)

What should I do in order to test and evaluate the application?
Install and perform the setup (skip tutorial if you wish, it will take a few minutes to setup and go through tutorial). The application will then collect information on your notifications and ask you to label the importance and timing of each notifications. You will occasionally receive notifications and you can go through past notifications from within the application. After adequate (50+) labels you can enable the predictions, get estimation on how accurate the app will be, and evaluate accuracy of each prediction in a similar fashion.
