Syncing to Android Using Companionlink

I've got companionlink pro 5 and I'm trying to sync contacts and calendar with my phone via google.

I did a successful sync once but now, when I try to sync my phone from CLP I'm repeatedly asked for my google password. I'm definitely putting in the correct password and have tried a different working google account to no effect. I've also deleted the CLP profile and started again from scratch.

Can anyone help or point me in the right direction for a more specialised forum that would me more appropriate for this post.

You might need to enable access for less secure apps at https://myaccount.google.com/u/0/security?pli=1
It's called "Allow less secure apps"

Hadn't thought of that - but 'fraid the issue is still there

There is about a 10 sec delay from sync status of 'opening google' being displayed to 'specify your google password' which potentially suggests that it something to do with google, rather than purely companionlink
