17GB and MORE clogged up by Dumpster App! Can't see what it is before deleting & other issues

It was bad enough when it was 14gb but it has now grown to 17gb and I cant even do anything on my phone anymore. I know I can just go into smart manager and clear data but I would like to see what it is and double check it before I just clear and delete. I can't see what is stuck in the dumpster app. I noticed the issue is for e.g. there is 22 items (photos/videos etc.) but for some reason it groups it all together and says there is 8 photos. When I tap "delete all" it only deletes the 8 and leaves the rest of the 14 items stuck in my phone!!!! Also when it says 8 items and if I delete 8 items from the group the whole group dissapears! I realised this is the issue. I can add photos maybe. It's so annoying when I opened a "ticket" for the support team, unless there is something weird with my phone, they seemed to have closed it without me seeing a reply. Also emailed the support team as well as left this concern in reviews section of the app!

I know for sure there is a way to see everything hidden in my phone! And delete it! I don't have rooted phone (should I?) It's Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Pls Help ASAP!
 
dumpster is an "undo" app that saves copies of deleted items. I would clear the app data, cache and remove the app. If there isn't anything you are "missing" ; it saves all sorts of useless junk... I would not even use the app unless you are prone to deleting things by accident a lot.
 
I am currently going to be suing my evil high school as they abused me and ruined my life etc. and I feel i may have backed up my things but I am not sure. It used to work fine; I used to be able to see what was deleted, and delete it fine. Now the things is when I delete things sometimes it's not deleted. I am paranoid that I may have accidentally deleted something thus I downloaded it. I just need a way to SEE WHAT is in my phone before deleting. Is there no way to do this? I can't seem to see what this 17gb is! after I threaten the dumpster support place with lawyers they finally replied and said oh we will have a team investigate because we don't know what is going on... ugh.

Are you using the free version or the cloud version? I'm a little confused as the app itself is free; you can purchase cloud protection to free up space on the device; but if you are using the free on device system I don't think threatening them will have much of an impact, as it is a FREE service.
 
I was saying that as a joke; but it broke my phone-ish. And yes it worked; as they finally responded to me after I did that. Anyway to simplify everything I just wanted to know if there was a way to see what it was before deleting. Do i need to root my phone or what. ugh
