Using iPad Pro as screen

hello everyone,

I come and write to this forum and you guys because I have difficulties to find elements of answers concerning the what I want to make and succeed, it is simple but complicated too:

I have a lovely little android tv box (T95N with Amlogic CPU... made in Asia) and also have a great iPad Pro 12 inches, both aged of one month old.

I searched over internet for a long time to find a good way to use my iPad as a screen for the my little box. I want to mirror and use android on my iOS tablet.
I want to use my iPad as screen (monitor) with my android box.
I would like to use kodi with the iPad monitor...

Have you heard about a simple application to do this and install on both system as server/viewer ?

Can I use VPN to make the link wirelessly between android system and IPad ?

Perhaps a wire from my hdmi box out to lightening in ?

I'll be glad if you can light me up a little bit about my question I am a little bit in lack of solution .

Thanks you !

Greg

VPN is the wrong set of initials for what you want to use ... But VNC might be a better bet.

Run the server app on your Android device... And a client on your tablet

So you want to use an iPad Pro as a "monitor" for a cheapo Android device. There are apps that are supposed to be able to display video from other sources on iOS devices. This is one..iDisplay, a paid app.
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id363500805?mt=8

Although I can't help thinking, why would one want to use an iPad as a monitor for an Android device? Just use the iPad as is IMO, I'm pretty sure most Android apps are also available for iOS, or have equivalents.

Yes excuse my words, the right initials are VPN.
I mostly need to use Kodi on android
My iPad doesn't allow to use it
It will be for me the adequate solution
For my use.
Do you think that VNC is enough fast to use video streaming inside Kodi or difficult to use fluently ?

I've got no idea about VNC. The method I was thinking of is direct screen-casting using Airplay, and something like iDisplay. https://getidisplay.com//

If it will be fast or fluent enough may depend on the speed and how robust your WiFi network is. From my experience of screen-casting using Airplay with a Mac to an Android device, it needs a minimum of 802.11N WiFi to be smooth without lagging and skipping. 802.11B & G at 54Mbit is not fast enough.

Direct wired video input into an iPad is out, such as HDMI, because it just doesn't have it. An iPad can output video with an appropriate dongle on the Lightning port, but not the other way AFAIK.

BTW apparently Kodi can be installed on a jailbroken iPad, via Cydia.
