I'm taking advantage of the long bank holiday weekend here in the UK, to do a household job that's needed doing for at least 5 years. That is to paint my garage doors. To say they are shabby is a massive understatement. Anyway, I've finally got around to doing it.

Are there any jobs you really need to do, but have been putting off forever?

Not quite 5 years (Mrs Presidente would never let me get away with something for that long :p) but I broke the cord on the Venetian blinds in our bedroom about 8 months ago. Every so often, I'll get asked what I'm going to do to fix.

I pretty much always put off cleaning my tropical fish tank too.

We've had an area of our back yard that we've never been able to get anything to grow. It's just a bank of mud and rocks. I've finally gotten around to paying someone else to fi it. ;)

I feel so useful now, because not only am I looking at some very smart garage doors freshly painted in Oxford blue, I also managed to replace my Nexus 5 screen, which has been cracked for 4 months.
There's still a ton of other jobs I've been putting off though, mainly gardening, which isn't my favourite thing to do.

In no particular order ...
1. I need to finish insulating and putting up drywall in my garage.
2. I need to finish my landscaping.
3. Renovate my master bathroom.
4. Clean and organize my basement and finish painting the walls with water seal.
5. Build a nice fire pit.
6. Paint back bedroom.
7. Move office to newly painted back bedroom.
8. Paint (room previously known as) the office.
9. Convert freshly painted room formerly known as office to walk in closet
10. Re-finish kitchen cabinets

I know there's at least 400 more things, but I guess that's my top 10.
:(o_O:rolleyes::thinking:

That's a heavy duty todo list there.

Hey I am super awesome at starting projects ... just equally as talented at not completing them. Honestly I think I just got overwhelmed. After the foundation thing (which was the "start" ... my welcome if you will ... to owning my childhood home) but with that came completely re-plumbing the whole house, new roof, new windows, new driveway, new garage floor, new garage door (and modifying it from 2 8 ft doors to one big 18 ft door) new garage door opener ... I am forgetting stuff. But anyway I did NOTHING BUT this house for about 24-30 months, and I got burnt out. :(

I'm very impressed if you did all that stuff yourself. I wouldn't know where to start.

Everything but the concrete. I was looking for a picture of my plumbing center. I'm very proud of it. Couldn't find it here at work or in my online stash. :(

But anyway, this summer (since we are not doing any real traveling) is the "catch up" time. So that top 10 is what I am trying to erase. I can also add re tiling the entryway, so number 11.

Yes, plenty. I'll post them later. ;)

The truth is out there.

I was supposed to complete my Lotus 7 but it's been about 10 years if that isn't procrastination then I don't know what is! xD

And in true loser fashion my garage is a mess!

I live like a piglet sometimes xD

I iz not ashamed :D

Argh... I have waaaaay too many unfinished projects! xD

I feel like a Leonardo but the kind that never finished anything! ... sad I know :)

Don't worry!

I just know I will finish it someday :D

Someday... xD

Argh... 10 years is a bit too long ne? ;)

Well I finally got around to going through my pictures over the weekend. I am only posting in a moment of hubris - I am very proud of this job. These pictures were taken in 2014 on my Moto X 2013.

Re-plumbed the whole house with PEX, Red for the hot lines blue for the cold. I also replaced my water heater and installed a pressure regulator for said water heater (code as of 2012) it's the big off white tank that looks like a propane tank. The second picture is a close up of the water manifolds I made, each "circuit" has it's own shut off for both the cold and hot. The top middle line on each manifold is the "in" I have 7 possible circuits. Currently I have these circuits in use.
Kitchen
Laundry
Master Bath
Hall bath
Outside spigots
Basement water
I have one spare hot and cold.
;):oops::cool:

End not so humble brag.
