Can't access sound quality and effects on samsung s8 plus

I can't access sound quality and effects on samsung s8 plus.  Anyone else have this problem?

When some options are greyed out, it most always means you need to 'uncheck' a default or featured option in order to customize others. Then the alternate options will no longer be greyed out.

Has anyone found a solution to this? My sound quality and effects option isn't grayed out, however nothing happens when it's pressed. It's been like this since I got my S8 in late April. T-Mobile already released several system updates since then, but issue persists

You must've disabled the sound alive package

Can confirm extra audio settings (UHQ etc) grey out when you pull out the headphones.

Ok so let's look at this diagnostically:

1. Are your headphones in?
2. Are the controls at the bottom greyed out?
3. If yes search under hearing in settings and see if your audio is set to mono (if yes I'd expect it to block UHQ and the like).

poke around and tell us what you find.

...ok scratch step 3 just tried my own steps and mono doesn't effect UHQ etc. Try it w/Bluetooth headphones (it may be that one of your headphone sockets contacts isn't touching the jack). If it works over Bluetooth it's the socket I'd bet.
