Help Messages Not Sent Error

AlexWad

Lurker
I have a ZTE phone. Lately I have been getting a notification saying that my messages have not been sent even though they have been sent. I have tried Handcent and it hasn't worked. Please help.

Yes i have multiple times, and it still won't go away.
Hmm.

So the message is sent even though the app indicates that it did not?

Stock messaging app I assume?

Perhaps go into your manage applications, scroll down to the messaging app, clear the cache and data from the app, and try it again.
You will probably lose your settings for the app and perhaps the texts for it when you clear the data and cache, so be aware of that if you want to save any texts, but that may help;)

Who is the carrier? I'm wondering if it could be on the carrier end glitching recently.

Is the notification for the message-sent failure appearing in the notification panel or is it a toast message that says it failed?

How long has this been occurring?
Seeing as this is happening with other messaging apps such as Handcent, I'm wondering if it is a carrier issue.

Unless someone else has another idea, I'm out of 'em :( Sorry.

I hope you find a solution, or someone chimes in here...I'm curious as to what is going on too :)

This worked for me. I use super backup and what I did was this...
Open the app
Click on SMS
Backup all and click ok
Then click delete messages
Once deleted hit restore from the backup you just made
If you have a lot of messages it might take a bit to restore them all. But once they are back the error message is gone

Thank you so much! This worked

This worked for me, but images and other media were lost, so be careful.
