I have a Verizon LG V20, I have the 15A update. I was wondering how I could restore my LG V20 to stock (like if I booted the phone for the first time). I was wondering about the KDZ file. How do I restore my LG V20 on Verizon to bone stock? I have force closes and reboots and I tried factory reset and nothing. I need help. And what's the success rate of restoring a Verizon LG V20 to stock? Thanks

Download the KDZ there's a link for LGfirmwares there. Then download uppercut, put the device in download mode, select the menu icon i think it's in the top right corner, maybe the left, all the same. Select the kdz and then choose upgrade.

It'll fail more than likely at about 85%, no worries it's normal and by then the device will have started rebooting.

How would I know if I successfully restore my LG V20 to stock?

As long as no backup and restore settings are enabled it would boot up like it was new out of the box. It would boot up stock as the firmware is OEM firmware, non modified stock.

Keep in mind this is not a detailed walkthrough. I'm trying to help while working on clients devices.

So I don't LG Backup?
That's up to you, if you think it's a OS issue then leaving the backups on or off is the end users decision. I wipe my device clean when i try to determine and eliminate issues. App data is of no concern to me, Pics and videos can be uploaded to the cloud.

Ho2 long would the whole process takes?

The firmware flash maybe 5 minutes, the overall setup, downloads etc. Depends on your PC and internet speed.
