Pictures

Have you tried the Gallery app? It should come with all phones
 
Leon I have connected to my laptop with my mobile before( no nternet ) to recover all my pictures and videos. No luck it tells me (laptop) that I am locked out and I would really love to recover that stuff - ya' know. I tried everything I can think of ( I am not a novice with computers), just this G5 phone! Anyway Leon I would appreciate any kind of help I can get. Thx
 
Okay, we're obviously missing something.

When you say these are photos/videos you've saved to the phone, how did you save them? If they are pictures you took with the phone, open the default camera app and in the lower right corner you should see a thumbnail of the last picture taken. If you click that it should open a preview of the image. Then swipe to your left and see if your other images are there.
 
Lunatic59 - I did not say I am taking pictures/videos with my mobile or trying to transfer from my mobile. I said I am trying to transfer photos/videos from my laptop to my mobile that are important to me understand. I keep getting the message 'I have to unlock my mobile first' and I've tried everywhere and get the same message.
 
oh oh oh oh oh .... oh. Did I mention "oh?" ;)

Yeah, here's the deal. The G5 shipped with Marshmallow (6.0) which by default puts the phone into "charge only" mode when you plug it in to your PC. It will pop up as a device, but display no files. This change was not explained very well by either Google or LG (or any other manufacturer for that matter).

Plug your phone into your laptop. When you see the USB notification on the phone, pull down the notification bar and tap on it for options. Change it to MTP mode and then you should be able to read and write to the phone.
