Samsung upgrade program

I've been quiet for a while but keeping a close eye one the Note 8 rumours. I was so close to buying the Note 7, I was about to finish my contract with the Note 4 to get one when the poo hit the fan with them.

So, I've been looking around to see what is the best way of getting a Note 8 without the full outlay of £869, and there's only really one option (for me at least) the Samsung Upgrade program. It works out at £869 @ 0% over 24 months with a deposit of around £86 and 24 payments of around £32.50. With the Dex docking station as a freebie ( not my 1st choice option, a wireless charger also would have sufficed but I'm sure it will get used)
Also when the next flagship comes along in around 12 months there is the option to upgrade by trading in my Note 8 (conditions apply) or just keep paying the monthly payment until the end of the contract. Also it can be paid off early.
I've pre ordered tonight and paid the deposit so I'm eagerly waiting for the next 3 weeks to fly by, anyone else done this?

Have you contacted Samsung? They should be able to look at your IMEI and make sure the device is active - if you don't get an operating system update, it will still be important to install the latest security patches. Also, I'll be happy to move your post to the S7 Edge Forum.

Hi like you I went for the upgrade program before e en seeing the phone in person. I then saw it in Samsung store in London and what a beautiful beast, I cannot wait to receive it, the 29th September is along way off. I just hope that they will ship it early like in the US!!

That would be nice of them. No reason at all why we in the US should be the only special ones around. We all went through the pain of the Note 7 mess and settling for what we didn't really want for a full year. That's a very long wait!

29th? did you order through Samsung?
I hope it's released on the 15th as we have been led to believe.

Yes I did and I remember seeing the delivery date as the 29th. Like you I hope that they are just covering their backs.

I have just checked again and they have changed the date of shipping to 14th September.
