Help Screen comes on for new texts

I'm using the one that comes with the Note 8. It's the Samsung Messages app.

Well, I am not sure about Messages app because I use the Messages Plus app, but look in your app settings and check the privacy settings. In the app I use, I can toggle off message previews on the lock screen in the privacy settings.

Yeah, it's not there.
Phone always comes on.
I may just have to activate SMS Plus Messaging again.
Coming from a Note 3 I was hoping Samsung had sorted this out by now.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Does your Note 8 have the Messages Plus app? It's alot better than Messages app. Anyways, I recommend it.

There should be an option to change that in the phone's lock screen and security settings. Tap on notifications and check your settings. I use the stock message app and my phone doesn't turn on when I get a text, I just get a notification icon on the AOD.

Also, there are notification settings within the messaging app, I have pop up turned off.

I was unable to find the Messages Plus, except if you're a Verizon customer.

As to the Lock Screen and Security settings I went through everyone of them and never found a way to make the screen not turn on when I get a text.

Would greatly appreciate if there's a way to turn this feature off.

If you go into the APPS INFO (long press on it and you should have an opportunity to app info OR just go into settings, apps, then find the app) and open the stats of the app, you scroll down to notifications

This's goes for ANY APP. You can also tap and hold on the drop down notification and there are options there to block notifications, etc.

Do you have any kind of lock settings (pin, password, even just swipe up)? If it's going to the homescreen and not just a lockscreen, that seems a likely culprit
