Slow Tablet??

I have an Acer aconia A3-A10 tablet, about 3-4yrs old & it's gone very slow & sluggish, I don't have a lot of apps on it, any help would be appreciated.

No better, i'm afraid, it's slow doing most things even turning pages & scrolling. But thanks anyway 😃

3-4 year old is right at the minimal to maximum usage for Cell or tablets these days. Have you checked to see if there any software updates that you've might have missed because that in itself would play a major factor in the device reliability.

I haven't, but I will, many thanks for info ☺

All ok with updates. Was wondering if an upgrade would benefit!! If so how would I go about this, I'm a novice as you probably guessed!!! Am appreciating replies 😃

With only 1GB of RAM there's not much you can do to make this model work any faster or smoothly. Don't allow yourself to get too frustrated by expecting it to work beyond what it's capable of. The display is also relatively modest at 1280x800 so viewing high def video will push the graphics processor past its expected capabilities.

Yeah, a 1GB RAM tablet these days can be pretty slow and off-putting.

Thank you for your info. I suppose I am asking a bit much of it considering it's age. It's been great up to now. Cheers 😃

If you use your tablet frequently and are seriously looking into upgrading to a newer, better model, don't look at a new one as an expense, it's an investment in yourself. Try reading through this Wirecutter article on 'best Android tablets', even if you don't want their suggested picks they typically add a lot of details on how decide and what metrics they use. At least being a better informed buyer can help you pick out what you do and don't want.
