So i ordered a galaxy s4 and the battery that came with it makes the phone turn off within like 5 minutes. I put my old phones battery in it(galaxy grand prime) and it works fine. and the s4 battery works fine in my old phone.. so why would it make the s4 constantly turn off? as in no warning, just shuts down and you u can turn it right back on.

These batteries are fickle, I've had 2 different S4's and the batts freaked out once and wouldn't charge. So I swapped em and then back later and then worked fine since.

Try to do a factory reset with the battery fully charged in it. Your device may sync with the new battery if or if it's not a OEM battery from your device manufacturer.
