Missing Shortcuts

Running 7.0. Shortcuts on my home screen disappear. Have to put them back frequently. Some are in folders, others are standalone.
Know of a quick fix?

Haven't paid attention to the relationship between the missing icons and SD card, but I will now. Thanks for the idea.

Switch to a launcher that locks the icons on your home screen....
Basically, nothing on your home screen is locked down, that's why shortcuts are missing.
You need to install a different launcher that accomplishes this.
Use your play store app to download Nova launcher, and use it it has an option to lock your icons on the home screen

Thanks very much for the information. I will take your advice 😊. But this says that there's a flaw in the native launcher that can only be circumvented by replacing it. I suppose it happens. I wonder if this is the solution others take.

Yep. Happens all the time.
Install Nova and you're good to go

Installed Nova Launcher and am very happy. Thanks again for the help.

Oops! Not long after installing, my phone ran out of storage continually. Cleaned up and it ran out again.
Removed Nova Launcher and reset my phone. All is well again.
