No Keyboard?

Hello,

I have a problem with my Android phone, it's Android 5.1 on a Hailer L 65 mobile phone. The problem is that the keyboard often does not come up. I reinstalled everything and tried different keyboards, tried erasing the cache as well but nothing worked. It spans over all applications.

What to do?

Do you mean Haier, a Chinese manufacturer? Although I don't tend to see too many Haier phones, they're much more known for their washing machines, microwaves, fridges and air conditioners.

It sounds like you've tried everything obvious, so it could be a bug or issue in the firmware. Check to see if there's any updates available for it.

Hello,

thank you, yes, I meant that. But this seems to be rather hard/site is not functioning?:

Is there any simple way to update it? The "Wireless update" button in the "Phone-Info" section does not work.

I don't think there's much of anything useful on that site, it just seems to be going round in circles when following the update links.

Or would installing a new android be easier? Or woul lineage/cyanogenmod solve the probem? And sorry, also I know these words, I am still a rookie, so easy please.

Thanks!

Problem with this phone with it being a Mediatek MTK based device, means there's basically zero chance of any custom firmware for it, like Lineage OS. Mediatek devices can be impossible to develop for, because the company doesn't make their system drivers and source-code publicly available.

The Haier L56 (L56) smartphone released in 2017. The Haier L56 runs on Android OS v5.1 (Lollipop).

Quite frankly a smart-phone released in 2017 should have at least come with 6.x (Marshmallow) or 7.x (Nougat). So I don't think there's any updates going to be coming from Haier for it. Which is often the way with budget to mid-range Chinese phones.

This doesn't look good. Only thing I think can possible do, is try contacting Haier tech support about it.

Thanks, will do. But one thing I noticed: It works when the phone is resetted, until the apps are installed. So maybe its one of them. I will have a look.
