Help Note 8 duos (dual sim)

Hi all,

I've noticed that there is hardly any information about the note 8 duos (dual sim).

Well i've had this phone for a week now (extremely pleased). So if anyone has any questions or doubts, dont hesitate to ask.

Usually dual-SIM "Duos" version Samsungs are intended for sale and use in Asia, places like Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, etc. And are sometimes sold as grey imports on Ebay or Amazon, often euphemistically described as "international version" or "international unlocked" especially in the US. And Samsung warranty and support can be a problem for these grey imports.

Im in Europe and i got mine from the official Spanish Samsung page, so its not 'grey' or anything like that. It works really well too :)

Do both sims face down in the tray?

Saw a video this morning of it done on an S7, bit of careful work in it, take your time doing it with the right tools if you go ahead, last thing you want is a stuck sim tray

I have one of the ones you might call gray market ones.

I am in USA . . . but I wanted 2 SIMs and I wanted a Galaxy Note - so this (Dual SIM Note 8) was it for me.

I cannot register it with Samsung - but I got an extended warranty for 4.99 a month - not bad with a 75 Deductible.

I am VERY happy with my Note 8 * and it is so handy to have 2 SIMS - no more 2 phones to carry around.

Im extremely pleased too. I fear my 64gb might not be enough soon but other than that, super pleased.

Agreed!
I have a lot of apps and some with a good bit of data!
I have the Old Audubon Apps (Trees, Wildflowers etc) and each of the 6 of them have between 265Meg and 800 Meg data along with them.

Hi,

I'm looking for a Note 8 and CPW have them in stock but I have heard there's a Dual Sim version. I'd much prefer this then having to carry 2 phones.
Are dual SIM available in the UK?
If they are EU imports what happens in it goes faulty?
Is it still possible to use both SIMs and a Micro SD card? I'd want all 3 in use ideally.

Well - I looked at the mods to use 2 SIMS and a MicroSD card.

I would not call the mod a straight forward mod!

I would suggest you look up to see what is involved before you do this if you really need all 3.

I just use 2 SIM's and keep my data low as I can.

Definately available in UK as it was one of the options when I bought my regular one. I have no need for dual sim.

Thanks everyone. I will get one from the UK site. I had no idea you could get the dual sim one from the UK. Great news and grateful thanks
Hi,

yeah i got mine from uk :) Adding the sd card whilst using 2 sims is not possible unless you do a mod which from what i have seen could screw up your sim card and potentially block your phone..

I got it in Gold today from the Samsung store, Manchester.

I was told online you could use 2 SIM cards AND a SD Card. The shop assistant told me this isn't possible, you either use 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM and a SD Card. I am a little dissappointed as I could really use all three. What a shame.

Hello,
I am in the US also and interested in this version of the Note 8. Where did you purchase your phone and warranty? If on amazon, is there a particular seller that is trustworthy/reliable?
Thank you!

Keep in mind Samsung will not service it. It says "International" - but mine is a Taiwan Phone.

So if concerned - you will want to get some sort of Warranty
